I wanted to catch Tues. show live but could not. I’m from Dallas (though I live in Indiana now). On July 16, 1999 I was “home” for a visit/business event. During the event I was staying at a very nice hotel just a short walk from Dealy Plaza. I went out, alone, that night.. just to look around and reflect. I walked all over that place for anbout 45 min.; thinking about what had happened there. When I went back in to the hotel lobby.. CNN was just getting the news about JFK Jr.s plane crash. The fact that I was standing on the site of JFK’s assassination at that very moment still haunts me now.
